ISO 17025 Accreditation Support
No matter what line of business you are in, and wherever you are on your quality journey, QFactorial is happy to step in and assist. Our work with Flowquip (flow metering), AC Solutions (air conditioning) and Hann Tucker Associates (acoustic consultants) is testament to this flexibility.
For Flowquip, we were engaged right at the start to perform a diagnostic exercise to identify gaps, synergies and an action plan to achieve ISO 17025. With AC Solutions, the project started at the system design stage: we were tasked with the production of an ISO 17025 manual and supporting procedures for calibration, testing, measurement and validation. Hann Tucker came to us later in the cycle and appointed QFactorial as their independent internal auditor to ensure system maintenance post-accreditation.

ISO 17025 has much in common with ISO 9001. In fact, ISO 9001 can be used as a foundation for ISO 17025 compliance. But ISO 17025 is specifically written for testing and calibration laboratories, so it has some particular requirements beyond the generic expectations of ISO 9001. One of the main differences lies in the approval process. You can be certified to ISO 9001 by any number of certification bodies who have been accredited to do this by UKAS. But the only recognised route to ISO 17025 approval is to be directly accredited by UKAS itself.
