Stage 3 ISO 15189 & POCT ISO 22870 UKAS accreditation for a UK network of travel clinics.
Nomad Travel provide pharmaceutical travel kits and services for those looking to travel and in partnership with airline companies. Since the pandemic, they have provided Covid-19 testing for the general population as well as fit-to-travel services to meet government guidelines for travellers.
The client had already managed to achieve Stage 2 with UKAS for both ISO 15189 and POCT ISO 22870, but they needed some assistance in navigating Stage 3 and dealing with the findings from the Stage 2 audit. QFactorial was tasked with assisting with the documentation requirements for compliance to Stage 3 in order to satisfy the UKAS auditors.

There was a very tight schedule due to submission date looming within 5 days, so QFactorial worked closely with the Nomad Senior Management Team by first going through all the UKAS findings in detail to get a clearer understanding of the difficulties facing them. We were then able to divide the tasks based on priority level and worked extended hours alongside the Nomad Team to close out all remaining actions.
It was a real pleasure to work alongside the Nomad Team who showed great dedication in achieving our target. The CEO stayed up with us until midnight, waiting for us to finish the work and support us just in case there were any questions about the company and processes whilst we were working on the documents. This was such a great gesture of support that it galvanised the whole team into making sure the work was done and the deadline met, no matter how late it was. There was a definite sense of ‘in this together’ fostered throughout the project.
Despite the tightest of schedules in only having 5 days until the UKAS submission deadline from when we came on board, the determination and hard work of the Nomad team and our consultant meant that all the outstanding actions were resolved. Stage 3 certification was awarded by UKAS for both ISO 15189 and ISO 22870.
