QA services for Danish power plant
Continuing our long-standing relationship with Scandinavia and, in particular, Denmark, we were pleased to provide technical quality assurance support for this major Danish energy company.
We first engaged with the client in late 2018, when one of its Siemens aero-derivative gas turbines had been removed from service for repair in an OEM authorised maintenance centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We quickly acted on behalf of the customer to ensure that the workscope and proposed modifications for this high-value asset would deliver a satisfactory engine performance, quality and a positive cost outcome.

Implementation
We managed the asset through its full repair cycle, observing the stripped condition, approving the workscope and supporting materials laboratory investigations. Once rebuilt, we witnessed and oversaw the engine test in Montreal, Canada and supported the on-site re-installation and commissioning back in Denmark.
Our consultant lived with this project from beginning to end, acting as the expert eyes and ears of the client and providing them with continuity of advice based on the accumulation of knowledge and learning as the repair cycle progressed.
Following on from the successful gas turbine repair event, we have continued to support the client’s needs for enhanced operational practices, risk and operational cost reduction. We have provided ongoing technical advisory support, team training definition, plus preventive and corrective maintenance for asset life enhancement and optimal service performance.
Q! Feedback
This was our first project partnering with the Q! Team and it launched and progressed quickly but smoothly, to deliver a very good outcome for the client. Good communication as the project developed and great support throughout, enabled us to adapt and respond to their emerging business needs.
